December 5, 2006 Update
Fame for referrals
- You now receive fame (+200) when your personal page is the first page someone visits before signing up. The best way to get this is to use your personal page, or a badge ( http://www.guildcafe.com/zBadge.php ) on your signatures and/or other webpages you have. Gallery/Photo Upload improvements - We now show recent uploads that have a positive rating on What's New - It is now easier to add comments/ratings to an image. When you click on someone's image from their personal page, look towards the bottom of the page: you can comment or rate it, and also see other members comments. (Your own rating is not shown to other people, but your comment is; if you don't want to say anything, leave the comment area empty.) |

Major Update -- December 18, 2006
Today is a major update of the system that includes a number of new functions: 1) Flash-based Friend Navigator Your list of friends is now performed in a Flash widget. The goal here was to make navigation faster, and also to support larger lists of friends by giving it a scrollbar. It also supports a (still-experimental) "Diagram" tab that gives you an alternate way of navigating your friend list, by showing you how you are connected with each other. Please let us know of any problems with this. (Note: due to the way browser cache old information, you may need to hit the Reload button on your personal page once to make the new friend list appear correctly). 2) Guild/clan group functions You can now create an area for a private forum, event manager, private pages, rosters, etc. for your guild or clan. To do this, first make sure you have the guild or clan included in your player history the way you'd like it to appear to everyone else. Then click on the "tag" link, which will show you the other people who have also included the guild/clan in their history. If you are the leader, you can create a group by following the link at the top of the page that says "Click here if you are the leader." This is intended to serve two purposes: for guilds and clans that don't have a website of your own, you can use this as your home. For guilds and clans that DO have a separate website, our concept is that you can use this to help you recruit or announce your guild's accomplishments--even though you might run the forums and so forth on a separate site. Like everything else, this is a fairly new feature and we're open to your suggestions on how to make it better. Feedback on bugs is appreciated, as always. |

When I click on a friend in my list I see the top portion of their page - but not the bottom portion - it still shows mine.

Mia:
Try reloading your page to see if the problem you're having goes away. This may be due to caching an old version of one of our files. If that doesn't fix it, please let us know the browser/version you're using. If possible, a screenshot would also help me see exactly what the problem is. |

Well - it seems to be working fine now - so sorry to bother you with that. Earlier when it appeared to not work properly, I did reload the page to no avail. But it's all good now
