Ever do a search on your name in Google or Yahoo?
You might find some unexpected things. Found this on somebody's MySpace, who I'm pretty sure I don't know.. A picture taken in 1988, I was the one singing in the mic on the left, white shirt. Like Im kissing the dood wearing the hat.

Yes. I've found some actual me stuff, but the funniest stuff is things i find with people who have my name.
Before I married Cess "I'm" actually a professor of accounting, which I find hilarious since I abhor math. After, I'm a dance instructor...even funnier since I'm completely uncoordinated. The worst though was when I found out the name I use professionally also appears to be a porn star. I wish I'd googled that before I selected the name. A name change for work may be in order ![]() I would suggest being careful about googling other people. One night I googled my cousin who I had not seen since she was 12. She had a myspace page and it was for sure her...adn there were a LOT of things I didn't want to know! |

For my real name I get pages of news articles I have written and have been published. (Almost makes me feel famous except I use my middle name everywhere but work and matches me up with a blues musician).
As for Vitreol, I get almost nothing except something about sulfuric acid which is kinda funny since I took this name from Vitriol which also talks about sulfuric acid, but I came across it in some religious text where it had darker meanings. ::shrug:: Don't matter much to me though.. When I use it it's what I want it to represent. |

My real name, Angela Bull, is shared by a british author but the 7th and 8th google are mine.
Roxianna does better. Almost the entire first page is me. Strangely the one Digg I made comes up first. |

So far, since the dawning of the internet, I've yet to find somebody with my name in the world. Last name is VERY rare to begin with, yet is a very famous cheese
But i guess nobody names themselves after cheese these days. The closest I came to somebody having the same name was some guy who had the same last name, same first initial, but it was Peter. So I emailed him since there's only about 100 people world wide with my last name and he said it was a pen name, not his real name. |

Oh funny story...I googled my maiden name once. It's very unusual (and even though Ellis Island changed it for us, gosh shucks golly so nice of them, it was still rare after their hacking) and it seemed I knew ALL the people on the planet with that last name because we were all related.
I googled it, and I found another guy with the same last name! I thought, wow, did Ellis Island run out of ideas or something? Still a cool find, someone non-related with the same odd last name, so I contacted him. Ended up he WAS related, he was the son of my grandfather's cousin or something similar! I did get to talk to the man's father through emails a bit, was enjoyable to discuss the "old country" and learn more of my unusual ancestry. We had thought the name would end with my Brother (who unfortunately has another Ellis Island hacked last name as his middle name, since there were no more to continue THAT name, either- and he only has a daughter) but now, there's another distant guy out there who may continue it. ************** Totally off on a tangent here, but with the naming theme... Years after all this, it ends up we may get the odd name continued from our family afterall. My brother is seriously involved with a woman who has a two and a half year old boy and there is talk that since the boy hasn't seen his bio donor male since he was a year old, my brother will most likely adopt him when they get married. I watch him about 11 hours daily and he's like my own child. Why is this confusing? Cess' real name is Eric. This little boy's name is Eric. Okay, we'll do middle names.... Except they both have the middle name Daniel so when I shout "ERIC DANIEL" they both think they're in trouble. I have to call the toddler Littleman when they are both together. For right now we can differentiate the two by their last initial. Cess' is M and Littleman's is N. But once my brother adopts him...he gets M too. Eric Daniel M x 2. /pulls out hair. |

I have done this too. If I google a screen name I get all the sites I signed up for using it, like hall88. But if I put in my real name, Bill Hall. I get tons of stuff espically since my name is very common. I mean I hit a grand slam in baseball last year I guess? (Forget which team I am on but there is a Major League Baseball player named Bill Hall) Haha.
