Jellybean MUD
Anyone here every play the old Jellybean or Jellybean II MUDs?

I was Otter on both... would love to see what some of you folks are up to these days!

I was Maynard on Jellybean II. I wish it was still around, seeing as I can't find another MUD with anywhere close to the same atmosphere. What happened to it? I stopped for about a year, and when I went to find it again, it was gone. I was pissed.

The reasonwhy
I was one of the few that sank with the ship.
After a year or so, I've seen a gradual decrease of activity and people one by one gradually stopped coming. It came down to just me xanax and savil, most of the time idling for hours, no one ever came. After a while I began to realize the inevitable. Why would X want to pay for a sever if no one EVER was on?

It is sad really, sometimes i get hankering for JB and withdrawals.

I think X and Savil have a small clan called JB in Kingdom of Loathing.

Luv Jellybean Withdrawls
I have been having SERIOUS Jellybean withdrawls!!!

I played Jellybean on and off over the last 8 years.

Does anyone know where I can get the code from? I've been thinking about trying to set up a server from my house. I've got some basic mud code, but I'm talking basic is all it is. I added a few rooms, but it's nothing like Jellybean.

My son (redwolf) was just getting started in the mudd and he really loved it too.

Anyway... gotta get back to teaching.... my students await!

OK, I think i'll try to find "Kingdom of Loathing" and try to find Xanax. Good idea SpaceLord!

Hey Dead Chicken, Jelly bean was a fun mudd. We were all bunny rabbits and there were lots of fun sites for everyone. My son, who was 10 when he started, loved it! and I (who is much, much older) loved it too!

Wow

Now there's something I haven't thought about in years. I loved that mud. Xanax, Morpheus, Blondie, Suzume, Shimrod...wow. Good times. I was Baa, and of course also Bloodrush. I was always there, never slept, just ran quests. Hell, we used to do crossword puzzles on there. We had the glorious distinction of being THE largest mud at the time. Well, based upon sheer areas. Never had more than 100 players on at once, probably not even half that. Morpheus had some of the best quests, and if you wanted something added, Shimrod would have it up in a day or less. It was mindless silly fun. Can't say as I made it to the end run tho. Xanax's husband kinda banned me. Mighty nice thing for someone to do that never even got on there. Ah, good times.

WOW Jellybean
I was Rosella on both JB and JB2. I too have serious JB withdrawals... I was on and off for wow like 9 years maybe and also during the last few months, it was literally X and Spacey idling. I MISS IT SOOOO MUCH!!! WHY?!?!?!?!!! I mean I completely understand why but why did everyone leave so suddenly. I can't find anywhere else to go to, it makes me feel like I'm cheating on JB. Nothing will ever compare. I started playing on it when I was 9.... Now I'm 20 and I will never forget it. I remember all the directions and pretty much almost all of the complete layout.

Hope evryone is doing well!
