Oh yeah, I blew up Megaton, however I did it on my Evil (duh) character, I saved it the first time around. I used to have a hard time playing as Evil, but back in the Baldurs Gate 1 and 2 days I started tapping into my evil side and now its not a problem for me anymore.
But hey, want to see something kinda funny blowing up Megaton, do it at night and look up at the moon, the smoke from the mushroom cloud goes BEHIND the moon, saw that on the 360 version and laughed. |

How could anyone pass up the chance of setting off a nuke. I mean...it's right there infront of you, begging to say,
"DETONATE ME! COME ON! Just once?" -radioactive elongated puppy dog eyes- |

I loved it so much I reloaded and did it twice.
Also the moon thing is true. Happened to mine too. |

I didn't nuke Megaton, only so I could kill off the townspeople... I was so evil in that game...

I didn't nuke Megaton on my first play; it's a handy port of call to offload junk and buy stuff. That and I couldn't bring myself to do it.
Wait, tell a lie; on my first play, I didn't nuke Megaton, but ended up getting the Sheriff shot >.> On second play, I'm playing through 'til the end and leaving Megaton standing. When I start a new game, Megaton'll be dust. Apparently, the crazy researcher lady turns up in Underworld, DC as a ghoul after you blow up Megaton? I've only heard it in passing... |
