How would a Mac Mini run WoW (FPS)
2.0GHz Intel Core 2 Duo
2GB 1066MHz DDR3 SDRAM - 2x1GB 120GB Serial ATA Drive NVIDIA GeForce 9400M graphics Those are the specs, I understand I can get a better desktop, but I've always wanted a mac, and at $649 its well within my price range. I only play WoW, so I don't need any Crisis type computer. Thanks in advance. |

A lot depends on the type of settings you WANT to run the game yet. I, for instance, run it on my Macbook (not the most current version, the one before) with:
-2.4GHz Intel Core 2 Duo -2GB 667MHz -Intel Integrated Graphics -120GB SATA HD For the most part, all the settings are at the lowest possible, with maybe just a couple exceptions. It runs fine as far as I can tell, get at least 20-30 fps and then the occasional dips in Ironforge/Oggrimar. Sounds like with those specs you should be even better off. Basically if you don't mind too much about tuning down the quality of textures and the like, you're golden. |

Thanks, that's excellent.
I'm going to play on medium settings, I don't really care how good the game looks, I just want to have fun. |

Remember that resolution will alter the settings you can use. You should be ok at medium or lower settings. My netbook can run it at pretty much the lowest settings. (Not great, but it runs, heh.)
I know you want a Mac, but you can get a lot more powerful system than that by building it yourself for that money. Peep my site and system recommendations if you want to take a look. |
