Loved the movies back in the day. The game looks promising. I think I'll let it drop in price before I buy though. I am thinking this is going to be a $20-$25 game max for me (for PC). I don't really buy many games at full retail, maybe 2-3/year. This ain't one of 'em. :\

Wheeee.... The game is out today, in case anyone missed it.... I'm about 3 hours into the Wii version and the game is really really fun!! I can only imagine how much more awesome it will be when I get around to the PS3 version...

I just got the game today and I cannot wait to try it out. Wonder if its what I have hoped for or if I'm gonna be in for a major disappointment.

Alright, I'm a little late to the party but my copy of Ghostbusters arrived from Gamefly yesterday. I've been playing almost non stop! I love it.
Not sure if it's a keeper just yet, I get the impression that once I've completed the game the joy will be over. It just doesn't strike me as one to bring me back for gameplay again and again. But what I have done, I'm enjoying. Has anyone whose completed the game continued to play? I notice that when I finish levels there are still Art Pages that aren't found and Items left unscanned. I don't know if there is a way to go back and complete those tasks, or if they're even worth it. I'm playing the Wii version and I do have to compliment whose ever decision it was to give the animation a more cartoon-y look, very good choice for the Wii. This way the graphics still look decent since they're not overly complicated. I am interested to seem some gameplay on either PC, 360, or PS3, just to see how that animation looks. But I'm really digging this game, it's very funny and I really feel part of a Ghostbuster's adventure. |

I have it for the 360, and have yet to pick it back up since story line completion. Thinking of trying a lil co-op though.

I haven't tried the co-op yet, it looks interesting though. I've just been having to much fun with it that I don't want anyone to steal my thunder, haha.

It was WAY too short IMO. A level (or 3) would have helped. BUT, and I don't often say this about short games, what was there was absolute gold. I think this game is the unoffical Ghostbusters 3. For now.

Umm... Ditto what wastelander said. To be more specific: Bill Murray is gold.

I think I heard that this game was to be a bridge of sorts between the first two Ghostbuster's to the third that is currently in the works. Harold Ramis and Dan Akroyd are writing the screenplay and they have, I think, about all the originals signed on. I still wouldn't expect to be seeing anything anytime soon.
With the game being short, I don't think I'll be too upset about that. I'm renting it so I don't want to take forever completing it but I'm sure I'll be sorry when it's over. |
