I wasn't around in 1983 and she's younger than I am, so obviously the latter.

Each of those games aren't tied in with any of the movies, so that kind of explains why they are decent. Also, I noticed that KotOR is missing from the list.

True enough those aren't directly tied to a particular movie but without the movies there'd be no games at all so *shrugs*. Sadly never played KotOR so I'll take your word for it.

The Sega Genesis had some awesome movie tie-in games. Ones I remember: Batman, Aladdin, The Lion King, and Jurassic Park.

On more recent consoles, I've enjoyed EA's James Bond 007 series of shooters, though they (with the exception of "From Russia With Love") aren't tied with any movies.

Goldeneye and Chronicles of Riddick are the only two that I've heard of that are actually good. I've never played either of them but if people say it's good...
Kung Fu Panda was alright for a game based on the movie. It wasn't the best game but it wasn't really crap either. You can actually jump in it so I guess that helped too.

It's an ancient game by now, but I like The Black Cauldron.
You can play it online, even if it is slightly buggy.

I didn't even know there was a film when I played it, but when I did, I realized the game was extra nice letting you deviate from the regular story.
I finally saw the film maybe a year ago.

It also made me curious about The Chronicles of Prydain novels, so I should try those as well.
They are children's books, so I don't know if they're still good for adults (which I am (supposed to be)).

I really want to play the new Riddick game as well, maybe the original one first; we'll see.
I can't think of any other game at the top of my head.

Star Wars Trilogy: Apprentice of the Force is pretty good.

It's limited, but it's also a Gameboy game.
