Where's the character customization option? I'm sure it's a female gamer stereotype, but that's what does it for me more than anything.

Warhammer 40K is also a good one. I would say they are the exception to the rule.

You completely forgot "graphics". Isn't that why people buy games? To look at the pretty pictures for a few hours and then turn it off and watch reality TV?
