I'm actually glad you're phasing out the news section. It always felt a bit out of sync with the rest of the site.
One thing I'm still hoping for is the integration of our home pages and our public profiles. |

![]() Seriously, though: you still make me sad. But as long as we're going to get new, fun features in return I'm good. Any chance we'll get a bit of a preview soon? Pretty please, with bacon on top? |

Better smilies? I doubt they're going to have time for that any time soon, but you can always put your favorites in Photobucket.

![]() I'm sure we'll talk about this more in the next month or so when we start tackling this issue. Stay tuned!

![]() We should be able to show off some new things this coming week(at the latest the following week). We've got lots of good stuff in store, and it's not far off at all

I joined here when this was GuildCafe. I liked the focus on MMORPG stuff and it seemed like a really snuggly community with Roxy’s posts on the boards, there were even some amusing trolls! I understand things changed when GuildCafe became GamerDNA, and I’m not crying about the change and wishing it could go back to how it was (how realistic would that be, right).
So, now I am wondering when(if?) groups or group hosting WILL start getting the love. I believe I joined in 2007 and, to be honest, group hosting hasn’t had any major work from what I can tell since then. Sure we got some new webpage skins, a few adjustments to random, minor, areas… but from what I can tell, people have been asking for sub-forums and rank improvements since before I joined. I guess I’m wondering if guilds and those interested in guild hosting have a place here at GamerDNA anymore. Or is that place the back seat to gamers who play games that don’t do things in big groups (console games, fps, whatever else)? I guess I’m just confused about the focus here and if MMORPG players are included in that focus. -The Negative Nancy

Me too. Oh well. It lives on in the autocompletion feature of the "what I like about this game" page. Sort of.

Over the past year we've spent a lot of time fixing the various Guild Hosting Features that were just plain broken or were causing lots of trouble with the site. We've also added various features like the Ventrilo Hosting, an addition that we just made a few weeks ago. Quote:
So this isn't us trying to snuff MMORPG players..in fact a good portion of us at the company play MMOs. It's that we're focusing on fixing up a lot of core parts of gamerDNA that will make it a better place for all. This means making the site easier to use, making it *much* more useful to all types of gamers, and revamping many sections of the site like your Homepage and your Profile. Once we get a lot of this things in place and rocking hard, then we can focus on some other things. As always, we appreciate your feedback and we hope our community understands why we made these tough decisions. Sincerely, Sam Houston gamerDNA Community Manager |

I have to say, the guild hosting here is lots better than the last place my guild used, so it doesn't worry me if you want to focus on other stuff for a while.
Also, congrats on the Ars mention! |
