I only read the original post when it was new, didn't feel like reading the rest.

Since I missed the deleted posts, I can't form a proper opinion on them, but since they involved flaming, they can't have been very good posts.
If a moderator deletes flames (s)he isn't a "forum nazi", (s)he is taking care of the forums.
I figured everybody thought flames are unnecessary, unproductive, and unwanted.

Well, these forums used to be pretty good, the majority of the threads involved either discussing stuff or being entertained by stuff, and without any moderation the "unwanted" (Or deemed to be so by the people who at the time, used the forum) people would be chased away by flames and ridicule, resulting in entertaining and semi-epic threads. The forums have changed quite a bit though, alot of the original people have left and while we still have a few threads worth reading most of them are just the generic crap that you find on any other forum. Not to mention the fact that 50% of the people who frequent the forums have a username that begins with XxXX and a sickening obsession with alternating capital letters.

I still like GamerDNA though, all the new features are cool, infact everything BUT the forum is cool. Which I suppose is a shame, since that was the main attraction for me before.

I'm thinking theseguys need to let GamerDNA run their website, their business and their services the way they want and if you guys absolutely need a place to justify your ePeens and continue to be foamy mouthed about the loss of your Pre-Cu game (Coming up on 4 years now guys?) I'm sure Hostgator or some other site will provide your the web space and tools to build your own pwnrage communities.

Who am I kidding? Just go to any other MMO community site and you guys can revel in the trolling cesspool epeen mastabatory process. I say kudos to GamerDNA for at least keeping a focus and keeping some moderation around here.

Besides, you guys just need to learn to insult better.

Being somewhat new to the forum world, I can't really comment on how things were run "back in the day". Personally, I can't stand flaming or trolls, and am grateful that they're not tolerated here. Like has been said before on this thread, if you don't like being moderated, this internet thing is pretty big and I'm sure you can find other sites to question people's sexuality or type at them in all numbers and symbols.

There are many different types of forum threads here, and some are silly and fun, others can be quite intelligent and worthy of discussion. We can discuss things without lowering ourselves by insulting and flaming others who have a different opinion, something a few members here have been guilty of from time to time.

Okay, I'm done.

One more thing. Read this.
