both games i have played, many times, on many platforms-- snes emu, gba, and now chrono trigger on ds! i'm dying for a bof2 on ds~ that would be the best. bof2 is probably my favorite game ever, not just snes.

eta: no Earthbound fans either?! aghhhhhh!
eta2: just realized i missed Mykal's mention of CT & Eb. /CHEER Mykal!!
I'm sorry, I forgot about Earthbound for a moment; thank you for reminding me. That game really does deserve some credit here. I mean, how often do you see a few kids beat the tar out of a guy who's power destroyed his own mind?!

I'm hoping Nintendo makes either an EB virtual console game, or a DS version of Mother 3. Then again, is it too much to ask for both? Ah well, I guess that decision is up to Nintendo and not me.

For those of you with a GBA emulator, here's a link to the Mother 3 DL page. Just go to the GBA ROM section, and look for #2377:

It is, however, in Japanese, so here's a link to the English Translation Patch page:

Also loved a few lesser-mentioned games, like Illusion of Gaia, Soulblazer, EVO: The Search for Eden, Actraiser, and Lost Vikings. All of these could do with a next-gen update.

I'm with you all the way - my Mario Kart experience was very similar - the original and the best.

You may enjoy this article. Or just find it incredibly cruel in case it never comes out here in the US.

I thought Mario Kart was on the N64 or was the Mario Kart 64 o.O Gosh I suck with names, and haven't had my SNES for the longest time... Umm gonna have to say Pac-man, Mrs. Pac-man, and Kirby. I may be alone here, but I was young and eating crap and getting power-ups is awesome. Although, I still wouldn't drink milk even though my mom promised me it would give me the best "power-ups".

If you can get a copy of it... than try playing Terranigma.

So many choices, so hard to pick just one! Like was said Soulblazer, Terranigma, Actraiser, Secret of Mana...

I'm going to go with Final Fantasy 3 (VI). So damn good.
