Personally I think keyblades are right up in the 'I'll kill you with a mug'-category of coolness, but for a favorite weapon I'd say either Tensa Zangetsu from Bleach (ungodly speed, yes please) or Red Queen from DMC4. Comfortably big, and with a nifty feature.

normally i get back to something really usefull...

one handed or two handed axes :P

But there are games in which this is difficult:

Fable - Pan FTW!!! Pure-pwnage-pan!!!
Sacred 1- I loved the gun of the dwarf :P I even skilled one just for ranged x)
Sacred 2- I tried some axes there too but they really didn't worked out as I expected so I took a staff and started castin' : )

Yeah mostly - as I said - every sort of an axe but sometimes I like the ranged too - depends on the game and how the ranged attacks are used to be in that game ^,^

Devil May Cry series was RPGish I believe. I liked the sword and it's abilities when upgraded. (Although the gaunts weren't bad either once you got used to them).

Other than that game, I liked the Big Giant Sword (I believe that is what it was called) from Zelda: Orcarina of Time, simply because I like 2 handers, and the non-breakable form was harder to get than the Master Sword (which was given to you), which in my book increases it's value to me.

I am absolutely a sucker for daggers. Typically, they attack for less damage than other weapons, but attack so much faster that the damage over time is far greater. OR, they're set up to make up for small regular attacks by being the only weapons you can use for some ridiculous big damage attack.

Secondly, I am in love with two handed axes. Cleaving something with a big *thunk* is just really gratifying.

Honestly, call me lame but I love Squall's gunblade. Sword and a gun? I mean c'mon. D: You can not tell me that is not cool >_<

And then there is Travis Touchdowns Beam Katana, I want one of those.

and a Cucco. <--- yeah, the chicken thing from Zelda. I'll make them a weapon.

Yeah, but it wasn't reeeally a sword and a gun. It was just a sword with a gun-shaped hilt. Which really just makes it a sword.
