Your favourite RPG of all time
What is your favourite RPG of all time? I have two reasons to posting this topic.
1. I want to know what your favourite RPGs are. 2. I'm looking for a new RPG to try out. My favourite "pure" RPG (just RPG, no other genres) would probably be Neverwinter Nights or Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic. Those or the Baldur's Gate series, lol. My favourite game in general is Deus Ex, I mention this because it's an FPS with a fair amount of RPG elements and I love it's gameplay and plot. I think I shall go install and play it again lol. I've tried The Elder Scrolls game, didn't mind Morrowind. Thought Oblivion was OK but overall not much different to the first except for a few new features and of course, the graphics (I'm not much of a graphics person however). Now what's yours? (I also apologise if this is a repost, my bad if it is, couldn't find a topic like it). |

Ah, PS:T... I have to find myself a copy of that, as well as the original Fallout series.

I generally hate picking games that are well-known, but I can't think of another RPG that got more replay from me than Chrono Trigger. They just don't make games like they used to.

Personally, Morrowind did it for me in that it was a perfect blend of beautiful graphics, open world, and literally a hundred hours of stuff to do. I also loved Anachronox though, which tends to get underrated since it's only the first half of a pretty funny epic fantasy story. I've heard nothing but great things about the characters and depth of Planescape:Torment but can't get into the antiquity of it at this point.

There's a lot of RPGs out there if you can find them.
![]() Some of my favorites are: KOTOR (first WRPG and the best I've played probably) Fallout 3 (the open world is just AWESOME) Pokemon Red or Blue (...yeah I know) Shin Megami Tensei something here (my favorite JRPG series) I would like to try Neverwinter Nights and Planscape: Torment though... how are they? |

If you're a fan of D&D, playing through the worlds of the NWN games is a must. The storyline is captivating, as are the side quests... LOTS to do. It's dark. It's lovely. Apart from that, it's a classic!
