The game will offer both singleplayer and multiplayer, beautiful cinematics in between the missions, beautiful crisp graphics and it will be cross-platform (for iPad, Android tablets and on the web). it´s all made in Flash, using Adobe Air for porting to tablets.

I prepared 3 fresh screenshots from the game

Little explanation about the game currency
AoD will feature energy = ingame virtual currency. Energy is produced by Generator and stored in Storage. You spend the energy by going into a battle. All the newcomers will have basic (lvl1) storage and generator (see the far right structure on the pic below). You will be able to upgrade these to lvl2 or lvl3, which will grant you higher energy regeneration and storage + all of the upgrades will be visually different. Actually that will be your base you will be defending in multiplayer matches. The skin is different, but upgraded base will not have extra life in the MP battle or whatsoever.

Bases lvl3 - lvl2 - lvl1; storage on the left side of the base, generator on the right

Upgrading to lvl2 will grant you convenient multiplayer + upgrading any of the structures will unlock full singleplayer & cinematics. Lvl3 will be for the most hardcore fans who would like to get the most beautiful skin of the base.

Over the past few weeks, among other stuff, we have worked on matchmaking, so we make sure players of equal skills are playing together and the game is fun for everybody. We are using combination of ELO (which is pretty much the industry standard) + we combine it with other variables, such as latency, HW performance, etc. kind of invisible code stuff, but very much important for any competitive game.

Also, we are doing lots of testing. One of the unique things about Age of Defenders is that it is going to provide truly cross-platform realtime multiplayer experience (shiet, so many buzz words ). In other words, iOS will be able to play against Android or vs web users, which is very cool I believe.

The obstacle about that is, as you can imagine, much more testing. Here is the snapshot of how one´s work desk then looks like

Wow, this is totally cool. In future updates, maybe you guys can add different factions with different advantages & disadvantages just to add a little bit of variety on it.

Sure, what a good idea! Though it's for far future since we have already plans that we have to realize first

Age of Defenders is getting really close to official launch. We are working exceptionally hard to get rid of every single bug we find, and we are making sure it is as compatible as it can possibly be. With this in mind and coffee on our desks, it shouldn't take much longer and you will be able to enjoy the greatest multi-platform battles yourself. In the meantime, try our web version http://www.geewa.com/age-of-defender...=en#p=overview. Remember, it is smart, so no installation is required. Just hit the Play button and conquer the world of defenders.
Just to let you know, Age Of Defenders is on Facebook too. Go to https://www.facebook.com/ageofdefenders and hit the like button so you get the latest info about the game.
