Your Game of the Year for 2008?
2008 is coming to a close in just a few short hours and we're all getting ready to bring in 2009. When we look back at the video gaming that was had in 2008, I think we'll remember it as one of the best years for games ever. Many great games came out this year and many of them in just these last few months.

So of course, it is time to ask the collective gamerDNA Community..What was your Game of the Year for 2008?



My personal favorite: Left4Dead
Some Runner-Ups:
  • Burnout Paradise
  • Rock Band 2
  • Grand Theft Auto 4
Games that came out in 2008 that I didn't play yet but I want to play: Fallout 3, LittleBigPlanet

Fallout 3 was definitely a breakthrough game. Gears of War 2 was a great improvement after Gears 1, but Fable II has got my vote as best game of 2008. I can't wait for the new content to come out for more amazing gameplay and choices.

Warhammer Online is the winner. Fallout 3 was amazing as well, and Left 4 Dead is also the bomb. Dawn of War 2 was supposed to be on the list, but I'm willing to wait.

Fable 2 was okay. Too short, just like the first one.

Cabal Online for NA was a big hit this year from its release in Feb for close beta, its starting to die out though due to poor Game Hosting by OG Planet

For me it was Wrath of the Lich King. It really got me back into WoW and I have enjoyed this one more than any game I have played yet, this year.

Far Cry 2. Hands down the best FPS I have played in a very long time. The freedom to go where you want, when you want. Massive weapon choices and upgrades, vehicle choices and the storyline in general is enveloping. And the map editor... don't even get me started.

I'd guess I'd have to say between Castle Crashers and CoD4.
1. for castle crasher bringing back memories of side scrolling games and hacking ppls heads off
2. for CoD4 when u hear that ping sound when u get a head shot with a sniper

Well its hard to choose really, hehe.
Umm... my GOTY will be...GTAIV, even though it has lots of bugs (which I don't experience at all 0.0)
Runnerups:
Pure - Awesome, Awesome racing right there. Massive air FTW
Fallout 3 - Vats is really great and i LOVE the bloody mess perk :P
SSBB - Many hours wasted. Nearly won a tourney (that is if 9th place is considered nearly XD)
