Seeking advice on site design.
I don't have time to make a website for my guild, but I have here, because it's sites like these that offer any promise of survival for a small guild consisting of close friends.
I've worked pretty hard at it, but I want to make it perfect before I go overseas. Any of you guys n' gals got suggestions? Thanks, Mog -Leader of the The Dim Circle Ring. |

looking great to me! my only suggestion is to remove one of the images of your guild's ring banner. I think you have placed it into your page in two places that are overlapping a little so we are seeing a doubled banner on the top. so just go into your advanced properties under manage/theme and see if you have it in there twice somehow.

It looks great to me. I don't see the double ring thingy.

I have to admit, I'm not totally clued up to the mechanics behind the site yet, but I've tidied it up a bit. The DCR banner was at the top of the page and also at the bottom, but as of 1 hour ago I got rid of the one at the bottom.
I'm trying to add new features to the site, something that might benefit all the guild members. Thanks for looking and your kind comments too.

Why is it that I don't have a theme option?

Quick tip: You can link to:
http://the-dim-circle-ring.gamerdna.com/ That's a bit easier on the eyes/brain than: http://www.gamerdna.com/GuildHome.ph...im-circle-ring (The above is truncated.) |

![]() http://tinyurl.com/theDCR It saves on the difficulty of having to type the entire thing when playing MMOs. In hindsight, I should go back and change it, but it works fine for what it's intended for. |

Actually, I am, now. But I can't be sure if it's because I'm currently using Internet Explorer, or Vista. Usually, I use Firefox and that was fine.

You may have made TinyURL create a forward to the long, not so user friendly address, but doesn't invalidate the short address I suggested, which is just another forward. Just forget about the long one. ![]() Quote:
As a matter of fact if I make the image on top smaller (using Image Zoom), I see the one below it in Fx3 as well. I think it's the "character image", the second option in the "Advanced Properties" of the theme, since both look like a/are called sword. |

Thanks Retodon, I'm gonna work at it and see what I can do to remedy the problem. I can't profess to know exactly what I'm doing, but I'm trying to hammer it all out, your advice is incredibly helpful.
