The member profile API is up today. You can use it to get an XML representation of your profile or anyone else.

The data that is displayed is the public data from a user profile.

Use it to create custom signature images or anything else fun and cool based on membership.

Sorry to be a nuisance, but it looks like there's may be a problem with a missing file (same for both mine and the sample's Xianthe profile):

This is for a valid name and API key. Invalid names or API keys return correctly formatted errors.


Not that I'm usually the kind of person who perches on the edge of websites, eagerly awaiting feed specifications like some type of structured markup fetishist. Really.

Yeah something is up with environment right now. We are working on a fix... we are moving our dev environment right now too which is slowing us down. We will track it down.

If I'm reading this right...
(add your own API key for the link to work and to see my data)
...it says I got all 22 Challenges/Achievements.
I don't.

Thanks I will look at this... I think it might be showing achievements that you partially have... as in the challenges you are active in due to contributions to those challenges. I will get that sorted out.

Some of my Challenges are at 0% due to exactly 0 contribution, so that's not it.
However, it could be that I'm tracking those things anyway (why not), so they are "active" in that way.
I just stopped tracking three 0% Challenges.

No change in the XML file, but it may take a while.
If the 22 changes into 19, that has to be the problem.

I just checked using my name and it says I have 9 challenges completed, but I don't have that many. I'm currently not tracking any challenges.

No changes still, so I re-accepted Cat Herder to see if "dateAwarded" would change.
It was "9-17-08", probably when I originally started tracking (accepted it).
It doesn't seem to change, but I'll be a bit more patient now.

(The other two that I removed for my last post I didn't re-accept.
They are: "Golden News Hound" and "News Bureau".)
