Can't fight waves of zombie Nazis in 4. Because of the added co-op, I'm willing to cut CoD5 a little slack.

CoD2 was WWII
CoD3 didn't matter or count since it was horrible CoD4 was modern combat with some added perks CoD5 went back to WWII again with the same perks brought in from CoD4 Therefore... CoD5 is CoD2.5 The engine the game is running on is from InfintiyWard's CoD4, so a lot of it is a copy and paste job. I was testing this game quite some time before it's release. In my opinion I didn't feel it was ready for launch. But a lot of developers seem to rush their projects for the holidays. I'm sure many gamers have thrown some of their more recent games into their 360s, only to be pointed to a title update through Xbox Live. Any of you hate being pushed into enemy fire by your friendly AI just because you happen to be in their destination path? I do! And it's extremely annoying when you're playing on Veteran, where the rifle rounds seem more potent. |

the world war 2 slant was interesting but it isnt nessecarialy a bad thing
i mean flamethrower FTW. its kinda like a dual storyline i dont mind though it was fun so whatever. it was kickass to play the cod4 multiplayer with ww2 guns and stuff and the tanks are badass, thankgod they were balanced with the rest of the game |

You guys do realize that creating the game took a little more effort than copy-pasting COD4 and then replacing "data.timeperiod=2008" with "data.timeperiod=1944", right?
Regardless of the engine being used, I do agree that they ported a lot of functionality from CoD4 - but come on, why wouldn't you? The game sold like absolute gangbusters! Also, to be honest, Treyarch is playing in someone else's playground with call of Duty - it isn't something that they can afford taking too many risks with because then ... well... you get Call of Duty 3 |

Quite right, hence the fact that most gamers say "CoD 3 wasn't officially part of the series."
