I'm pretty sure it will be better than GoW1. Storywise it should be really interesting. The original set a nice base, but with so much questions unanswered the sequel should be great for anyone who loved the original.

As in multiplayer, I'm pretty sure they'll do great. With the new mode and new weapons that shouldn't be a real problem.

Gears 2 better?
I believe that Gears 2 will be a much better experience. From what I've read it seems that they have rebuilt the game mechanic so that it will be played more of how it was meant to be played, as a squad based shooter, and not a run arround with a shotgun game. Gears 1 is a favorite of mine, but it does lack the team oriented gameplay in most matches that I've joined. Gears 2 makes sure that the teams work together, or lose. That said, I am also quite excited about the new game types, especially submission (meat flag) and horde modes. Those coupled with the new maps (especially the ones with the enviromental variables) will make for a whole new and exciting experience that I just can't wait any longer for. The game seems to have much more content than the first, which will make it just that more of an addiction.....

They're going to improve upon a great game and make it better. I have no doubt that GoW2 will be better than the first. But I don't think it will have the lasting power of GoW1. After all, it is just more of the same. (I'll still play it for the next year at least!)

Their gonna have to really fix the Matchmaking and Weapon balance in Gears Of War 2 if it's gonna ever even compare to Gears of war 1.

Wow what a disappointment ! Gears 2 has to be better just because of the Multi Player Campaign ! Live will always be SUSPECT DO TO HOST ADVANTAGE ! When will they LEARN ?
