Thumbs up Mega Man 9
This has to be the perfect example of a company embracing retro gaming. I downloaded the demo for Mega Man 9 and I couldn't believe how true to form they stayed with the title. It looks exactly like an 8-bit NES release. Graphics, music, gameplay... everything! I want to get the game on Xbox for achievements, but I think that D-pad is terrible. PS3 looks like it might be the way to go. Plus, if you look at the achievements for the game they are absolutely RIDICULOUS! Check em out! What are everyone else's initial impressions of the game?

The difficulty of the game is ridiculous enough without the Achievements/challenges getting in my way. I'm waiting to set aside a good block of time for me to get the final level over with, considering I'm trying to get the "No use of Energy canisters" runthru achievement on my first run. So far so good, but the final boss is a beast.

I'm totally digging playing Mega Man again. I remember playing Mega Man 1 years and years ago and last week I downloaded this on the Wii the day it came out. And I get just as mad at dying over and over again as I did all those years ago. Love it

I just got the demo. Damn this game is hard. Was MegaMan 2 as hard as this? I must have been a better gamer as a kid.

Or maybe that's why a hour long game got played again and again for a year. Just like Contra.

Games now are so easy.

Finally completed this one, most definately the hardest Mega Man game I've ever played. Now to work on the rest of the achievements.

Congrats dude. After it, did you had that tingling sensation in the back of your hands after finishing it? That twitching reflex that stay for a few minutes thanks to the adrenaline and the frustration of doing the levels over and over and over? It's so good to be able to out smart a bunch of 1's and 0'.
