I rather enjoyed SCIV. I thought the addition of Yoda, Vader and the Apprentice would throw off the balance too much, but they made them fit within the structure. Never played it online, but that's usually the last thing I go for. There's plenty of depth in the game, if you're willing to look for it. Any fighting game can be a button masher (I'm looking at you, Mortal Kombat), but the truly great ones you have to work at.
Plus I had a great time with the character creation. |

it's awesome, but the Tower of Lost Souls is VERY infuriating

Agreed, mostly because of monotony. If they'd put some effort into some kind of story it might have been more worth the time I put into that mode. Although given the Soul Calibur team's track record in narratives it's a good thing they didn't try.

It's not bad, but also not great. IMO, it really could have used another mode similar to the other one in SCIII. It lacked real depth to any stories whatsoever, and Tower Of Souls is just bad. On the plus side though, the online multiplayer actually didn't suck and is generally lag-free.
As to the Yoda-Vader thing, I think Vader wins. |

It's a pretty good game imo I manage to play it at least an hour a day. Yoda Vs Vader my votes with Yoda I always go for the underdogs.

I like how much the graphics have improved, but I find it dumb that Darth Vader has to be so weak. I mean, his apprentice seems so much more powerful than him, it's just stupid in my opinion. But the one thing I do like about him is his Critical Finish. His seems to actually look cool, and since most of the other ones aren't that great his really stands out. But even then I think he would lose in a fight against Yoda.
