So my experience was not a good one. It killed me how they claimed FF3 was so much faster and it was a snail compared to FF2.

Now, I know what you are gonna say...its your PC because it works perfect on my PC. Well, you would be wrong on one point and that is that it is NOT my PC. I installed the new browser (before knowing is sucked) on two PC's at home, and three of my four PC's at the office including my laptop. ALL of them had the exact same problems.

So when I tried out Chrome today, I was SHOCKED by the speed of pages coming up. So far I have been using it all day with out any issues. I can't say the same for the final release of FF3. Pretty sad when Google's "beta" software is better than other companies final release software.

And for the record, I am not bashing or hating on FF. I have been using it now ever since the nightmare that is IE7 came along. I was a longtime IE fan until version 7. That pile of waste made me move on to FF and I liked FF until version 3.

I just want a browser that is safe, fast, and does what I need it to without any bloat. And today I may have found that in Chrome. But I won't know until I see it work like this for at least a week.
yeah, that does sound odd, because to me FF3 was so much faster than 2, especially when it came to rendering pages.

However, I will say that I miss all the plugins I used to have, and Chrome is so SPEEDY!

This post wasn't made in chrome.

in addition, it's not any faster than FF3.
and it'll load all the crappy popups and adds instead of flat-out blocking them.

nope. i won't be using chrome at all.

Damn - that is worthwhile information - I know I am guilty of not reading EULA's - the legal-speak makes my brain bleed. Good to know. Thank you.

I can disagree with this completely. Have not had a single pop-up yet. Then again I have not been surfing any porn sites. Hahaha...just kidding.

And it is big time faster than FF3 from my experience.

Here is a nice test of Chrome, IE 8, and FF 3.1. Check out their results and what they had to say for some speed tests.

Plus a nice report on Chrome.

Google Chrome EULA specifics

Bit more information on Google's EULA screw up. If you post any material using it, then google can pretty much replicate it without your consent. Guess years of not reading the damn things has finally come home to roost.

Is there a way to optimize FireFox? If so, I must have missed it. Chrome is noticeably faster than FireFox for me.
