Combat Arms: Nexon Sucks

So I downloaded Nexon's (Maplestory creators) "Combat Arms" new FPS. I signed up and read carefully all instructions. I am running the game and trying to log in and surprise ! Error Code: PI, 30022. Tells you something ? not really. So i tried contacting support but I was not answered. Desperately I addressed the support forum there I saw several threads discussing the issue and I have discovered that Nexon have blocked all non-North-American IP addresses. Not only that it is a stupid thing to do (Considering the game is an OPEN BETA, which means open for everyone), It sucks because many people wants to play this. Lucky for us, gamers are not suckers and they flood Nexon forum with posts about it and petitions.

P.S. Nexon's "Combat Arms" Does not appear in GamerDNA's Game List and it should be added.

There's a rather similar issue with Mabinogi.

basically, Nexon sucks. stay away.

(P.S. they prolly won't be changing it.)

Agreed, they do some really unforgiven things... Like MapleStory, we are killing people who get near this game. But Combat Arms looks really good it's a shame that they keep EU gamers (best gamer community in the world) out of this game.

Last I checked Open Beta can still mean only open to the market's they're licensed to or localized for. It's a native Korean game, and they're probably going to develop different operations for it for different countries. It's an FPS, so they're probably doing localization to handle latency and server traffic. It could also just be a case of needing to look for a distributor for the EU market.

its run by Nexon America and they do not have licenses for Europe. You guys will just have to wait till a European version is released

Nexon have declared in the CA site they are going to EU (http://combatarms.nexon.net/News/Vie...1&pageIndex=1).
Nexon don't suck any more !

Companies localize all the time. They often target their betas to specific regions. It's a beta. It's an open beta, but that doesn't mean they have to open it to everyone worldwide.

It could be a very simple thing like they didn't have servers setup for the EU regions yet. It's totally legit for them to test wherever they like.

Just wait for the real thing, and for them to release in the EU. There's PLENTY of other killer games out right now to play. If there isn't the demand, there's a chance they won't release there, but most games are releasing there eventually.

It's been this way for practically forever. I think even Meridian 59 had the euro servers launch at a different time than the US servers.
