This thread fails. No content as noted by all above replies. If you dislike something, in this case a half-life mod, make some arguments in the post for people to read. Can't we have a rate-down system similar to slashdot.org, so that rated down posts are removed from default view but still available in full view?

A rate-down system? Nah, because some people de-rate anything related to stuff they don't like, even if it's useful, so it's a mostly useless system. I suspect this is why the News items stay hot even when they're highly controversial.

Better solution: *I* should get to say which threads live or die.

ALSO Garry's Mod is a very cool mod for HL2 that lets you play with all the stuff in the game, pose it, whatever. This leads to very cool stuff like, for example, oh I dunno, Concerned, the half-life and death of harry frohman. Frigging awesome.
