Need help find a MUD -- Please :)
I'm looking for a game similar to DragonRealms or Gemstones -- with the round based combat... I don't care for the automated combat, you typical find in most MUDs. I don't want to play an IRE game or Avalon.

I used to play a MUD called World of Inferno, to me it had the best mechanics... for combat, magic and crafting -- wish that game was still alive... anyhow, I'm laid off at work, so I'm looking for mud to pass time.

If anyone could recommend one, I would be trully greatfull thank you.

Also, I noticed a mud called Eternal City, what can you folk tell me about that?

Thanks

Here are some of the ones hosted at MUDHost.com.

Here is a list of MUDs that are supposed to be good.

Here is a little bit on Eternal City.

I don't generally play MUDs, but those look like good places to start. I've heard good things about the MUDHost ones, so try those first.

Good luck!

I can tell you that I used to be a developer on The Eternal City before it went fully live and developed some of the 'systems' for it. Of course, I haven't looked at the current iteration in years, so how it compares to what I put in place I have no idea.

Suppose I should look at it again some day and see.
