FPS LAN Tournement Game Suggestion
Hello everyone,

As a fund raiser for my schools FIRST robotics team we hold a low key (20 or so people) LAN tournament for our friends and people at our school.

We have held two very successful tournaments so far using UT2004.

I was wondering if there are any other good FPS's out there that we could use so we aren't stuck playing UT2004 all the time.

The main requirements are that it can run on school PC's (2ghz Pentium 4; 1gb RAM, 64mb on board video memory). Also the game must be able to support at least 8 people since it is a team tournament, but larger player support the better.

Your input is greatly appreciated,

Blanco has set foot on a distinguished road
team fortress 2! It's even funner playing with people you know. Or the old standby, CounterStrike. Source games run very well on low end machines.

Counter-Strike isn't a bad idea. If TF2 can actually run on a 64 MB video card, that's another option, but pretty much every graphic setting would have to be on minimum and the game would probably still run like crap since it needs a 1.7 GHz CPU to play in the first place. Frankly, I prefer Battlefield 1942. Huge player support and you can fill in any empty player spots with bots.

BF1942 is a great idea.

A 64 MB card can run F.E.A.R. at the exact bare minimum. I highly doubt UT3 would work, though.
