/sigh, there's probably a word in some other language for it. Hysterics is when you stop being able to cope with the situation and misidentify what kind of information needs to be communicated to people around you. I was referring to situations where things are genuinely both sad and funny at the same time.
Maybe there isn't a name for the outward physiological expression. But, just from a clinical standpoint, is there a name for the combination of those two emotions as experienced internally? |
