That may be the past, but I believe it is now a myth.

There's actually some new research indicating that online game players are now PREDOMINANTLY FEMALE. If anyone is interested in the research, I'll dig it up and post it.

(Common sense seems to dictate that the people who post on forums for MMOs tend to be overwhelmingly male, however.)

While I have no idea about other games besides SWG and no clue about other servers besides Bloodfin...I have to say there are not a lot of us females on there. And YES, we do get hit on A LOT!! And sometimes it's in VERY creepy and disgusting ways that make me want to go take a shower afterward. However, some guys can be cool about it and it's no biggie.

When it comes to hitting on the other gender, the male side is definately the guilty majority, but I have known a few female players that are far worse than any male player I have ever seen. I never would have guessed they were honestly female if I hadn't met some of them. . . It's actually disturbing to watch them go at it half of the time.

It's a damn shame that games have come to this.
