Quote:
Right there with ya Chica I was reading that and going, "oh no - I must be old!"Although those of us born in the 70's also held tape recorders up to the radio! Thunder, Thunder, Thundercats! |

yeah ... i remember alll that ...
was born in 89, lived in the US for a couple of years then we moved to the philipppines , and the philippines didnt have very recent shows imported... i remeber jumping up and sown waiting for saved by the bell heh, and how screech was always funny, or when the power rangers consisted only of red blue yellow pink and black. and sabrina the teenage witch ... bill nye the science guy, mc guyver, seventh heaven marathons during lent flintstones and the jetsons, conan, space ghost, pink panther, yogi bear, all the hanna barbara cartoons... when the olsen twins were still singing "all i want for christmas are my two front teeth" /sigh remebering the past sure does make ya feel old,

BORN IN 1989?
Dear lord you could be my daughter! hehe Light up shoes are still the rage...though the 5 year old is driving her sisters nuts stomping around to make the shoes and winter boots glow. In the "old days" the rage was Kangaroos. Remember those? You'd zip up your lunch money or pay phone money in the pockets on the side. Those, some parachute pants and a comb in your back pocket, and you were good to go. |

Genesis does. Ninten-don't. 16-bit graphics.
Pumping up the Reeboks and showing off the Air Bubbles Nike. Not to mention Air Jordans just came out and sold out like hotcakes. Beavis and Butthead... uhhhuh Stealing your parents/family's checking account/credit card to pay AOL just to play Neverwinter Nights. VGA graphics were the next generation and PCs were still DOS-powered. Ultima 7 had its own memory manager even though QEMM was solid. Magic: the Gathering revolutionized gaming. People were starting Magic clubs in high school and in comic shops. Everyone had crappy Timmy decks before netdecking came along. You attacked with your 10/10 Leviathan and still lost. |
