A serious answer now: members who are simply Registered users cannot edit their own titles. One needs to become a member of the PlayerVox editorial committee, the GuildCafe steering group or famous to be able to edit your title. It's sort of a reward for helping to build the GuildCafe community.

In addition, GuildCafe members have their titles upgraded as their post counts increase:

Title......... Post count
New Member . . . . . .0
Member . . . . . . . .3
Enthusiast . . . . .100
Savant . . . . . . 1000
Guru . . . . . . . 2500
Thought Leader . . 5000

Image uploads count as posts. Posts within guild forums do not count toward this total.

Syldra, I honestly don't know what enthusiast is based on. It might be fame, it might be post count. All I know is that I didn't put it there, LoL.

Roxi, thanks for the clarification on that. I had no idea that getting involved with the Vox would let people do that. Very cool.

Edit - Correction, I didn't know what it was based on. That clears it all up for us, thanks again!

Hi everyone, I'm aslo new at this....but I really like all the features and so on.....as in all new things we do have lots of questions.....mine is....how the heck do I add my friends who have been sending their invites.....the e-mail said you can accept or decline their invites.....but I honestly can't see them......thank you sirs/ma'am for your answers

I didn't know that! Guess I need to post more. Still, I think the last 12% towards knight will go faster then the 425 posts I need for Savant!

I've read several posts where people made comments about raising their post count and I couldn't understand why that would matter. Now it makes sense

I'm still confused about this though. So, if the title under the avatar is linked to post count, where does the title for fame come in? If I become famous, does that title then replace all other titles (i.e., I become famous and then hit 5,000 posts but my title won't change to "thought leader" and will remain "famous" or whatever I manually change it to)

While I understand that the post count title gives incentive to people to contribute to the forum, I would think between the two kinds of titles (post count and fame), the one based on fame is more valuable because its a reflection of how well you are serving the community voted on by the community, as opposed to being able to artificially raise your title by simply posting as much as you can.

Given that assumption, shouldn't the fame title be the one that is displayed prominently?

Plus, I would guess that the vast majority of people would fall between 1 and 1000 posts. Therefore, there isn't much diversity when you look through the threads as almost everyone is either an "enthusiast" or a "member." The fame titles seem to be a little more diversified and, therefore, more interesting to see what title people have.

Not sure if this is correct, but is there some issue with a pop-up blocker? When I log into my personal page and someone wants to be my friend, I get a little box that says 'accept/decline'. That is the only thing I can think of.
