I think back to FPS soundtracks and my favorite has to be Kingpin's. Cyprus Hills beats made that game a blast to play multiplayer. Coupled with the F-bombs and other colorful taunts it was solid action.

well I'm old school so Iron maiden still does for me ... but I have 10,000 choons ranging from Vivaldi to Ice cube to Tiesto and all through the rock (60's/70's music as well).

I like what I listen to and listen to what I like ... no a genre type of person

If it's a puzzle game, I usually listen to the GFW Radio podcast. If it's a shooter, I like listening to metal or some music out of the Painkiller game.

I don't listen to music while playing FPS games... because they disturb me and then i cant hear where the enemies are

Usually, I throw in a custom DVD of mp3's if I know I am gonna be there a while. Music of choice has to be Trent Reznor's Quake soundtrack.

Maybe I'm a little strange, but I think gunfire sounds best with a little Beethoven. Something about the contrast really lets the music and the sound effects complement each other.

I sometimes listen to music while console gaming-only. Depending on the game of course. With hardcore games I'll listen to ramstien, system of a down, and other stuff like that. Maybe even motorhead.
