Shell Shocked?
So this morning.. I was working from my house as I do every other day. Suddenly, my internet goes out. I haven't lost internet access here in over a year for more than a minute.

I reboot my router, check the cable connections.. All seems ok. I'm getting no cable or link lights on the cable end.

So after about 20 minutes, i decide to just take a break for a few minutes.. I turn on the TV because I haven't watched the newest episode of Dirty Jobs on TIVO yet.

It comes on to CBS... with a white screen in 5 languages "We apologize for the inconvenience but we are currently experiencing problems with this network".. Click, NBC.. same.. Click ABC, same...

The first thought in my mind was that something was blown up again.. turns out that the wind and cold in the north east is just wreaking havoc on everything. Afew mins later everything worked again.

It just made me think of how we take things for granted.

And it's FREAKIN' COLD OUT!

Actually CBS is having problems everywhere. They started showing the first soap at 12:30 here. I had the TV on but wasn't reallly paying attention. What got me was this sudden feeling "haven't I heard this before?" about 20 minutes or so into the show.

Not sure what happened exactly, but a lot of people are reporting the 10 minutes or so of dead air...and then on the first CBS soap they had all the segments out of order, and repeated each one twice, lol.

I wouldn't say I'm in the NORTH east, but I live in in North Carolina and it's pretty freaking cold here. As a Texas native, the 20 degree weather we're experiencing here is shell shocking me. Especially when I have to go out at 630 in the am to run Brrr...

Where in North Carolina? Not that I have any idea where anything is, lol. My mom and step-dad retired to the Southern Coast a year and a half ago.

I'm stationed at Camp Lejeune, which is in Jacksonville. It's also on the coast.

every time we have crazy weather hot or cold it reminds me of the movie Day After Tomorrow, not especially good acting, or believe able how they survive in a library by buring books, but the environmental climate changes is actually kinda possible in our life time, or at least mine.... and it scares me to death
