Actually I think knowing is the entire battle, but only 50% of the time. As for the numbers originally posted... I'm afraid I'm one of the people bringing down the statistics. |

-- Gaming is becoming more "acceptable". I think the number of female gamers dating male gamers is higher than the other way around. That is, you're more likely to run into a guy dating a non-gamer than a girl dating a non-gamer. Hell, I don't think I could date a non-gamer

The study is very interesting... and they say that gamers have no life, etc.

It's the changing of the guard is all. We're in the computer generation. The one that saw the first home pc's, console systems, etc. We grew up on Apple II, Commodore, Tandy, Atari, and Nintendo.
My family actually bought the first PC for our home when I was 9. My brother and I hated it at first because my dad refused to buy us a Nintendo or Sega. "I paid $4000 for that set up. You're going to game on that and like it." It was all Dad's fault. ![]() Anyway, I'm rambling, point is these people are in the 25-65 age range now. We're working and in career or family mode, so I'd expect to see those kind of statistics. Plus, gaming is a lot more accepted as some have said. Crazy but my husband didn't know I was a gamer when we met. We met working at a retail store between college semesters. Some things are just foreordained.

I'm glad to see this and other signs that gaming is becoming socially acceptable and quote normal unquote. On the other hand, this just means that I've moved from the majority into the minority. :}

I can get plenty of dates, but if I tell a girl that I'm dating that I need to go on an instance/raid... then that generally doesn't score brownie points

Didn't make it through every page, but recent polls suggest that 97% of kids today are playing games. Games are good. And older gamers like myself will appreciate the bonding experience of playing games with their kids.
