"Bluewalled"
One WOW term I recently learned about is "Bluewalled". It is when, on a Carebear server, someone that is not flagged PvP attacks someone who is flagged PvP. This is a hated tactic that gives the unflagged person an unfair advantage since they do not automatically flag PvP until after their initial attack. Those folks who play all the time flagged PvP hate it when they get "bluewalled" and now I know why I got corsped camped so often when I first started playing WOW.

Swipe or Wipe
Used to mean 'pull just the target creature (Swiping) or kill everything, including the guards? (Wiping)'. Used it alot during my early days of gaming with groups, especially in games like DAoC, where you would have a boss level creature and guards, but you didn't have to kill them all to finish your quests.
Not everyone has time to camp an area and wipe out the spawns, or farm for loot/gold, and that's pretty much how the saying came in to being. Don't know who first used it, but was used a bit in Dark Age, and later saw its use in CoH and WoW. A variation used by myself and friends is "Swipe and Wipe", which means take out the target creature and the surrounding spawn, before moving onto the next area. If you've got a group that can speed kill, then this is the preferred way of levelling characters in most recent MMO games, as well as finding a use for PvP (Target the healer and mage's, steamroller them, then wipe the rest of the group, and move on quick). |

Leeroy Jenkins: The act of rushing into dangerous situations foolishly, originated from MMO celebrity of the same name when he comically interrupted a strategic meeting with guild mates to rush a dungeon of high lvl monsters in World Of Warcraft.
"Did he just run in front of that group of snipers?" "Yeah, he pulled a Leeroy". |

Would Meme phrases work?
Crab Battle!: Used as an exclamation during combat with a crab, or used to describe a battle where an enemy that is vastly inferior manages to KO someone of much grander stature. At least that's what I decree... |
