Howdy
Nice to meet you all, Im Momo - I'm one of the Associate Editors for www.Guildnetwork.net and a gamer (duh) currently playing WoW like most everyone else but looking real forward to Warhammer Online and further down the road at KOTAR. I'm not your average gamer, Im a bit more errr....lets say mature so no sexy swimsuit shots but I have a hell of a sense of humor and alot of patience. Hope to hook up with old friends and hopefully meet some new ones along the way as well

You are not the only more mature person on the site. There is no average gamer age. I used to think it was teens only but after getting into MMORPGs I have noticed quite a few older players.

Yeah that seems to be the case, Im not the oldest person in my guild either. I read a report awhile back that stated that the average age of PC gamers has increased with the high cost of going out - more folks prefer to stay home and game - some couples and still the majority as solo players. The average ages that the report quoted was like 25 -35 years of age - so as Im a bit older than that, I consider myself a trailblazer for the AARP - Gamer Division

Hello!

I usually say a bunch of the welcome stuff, but since I am posting here, I figure you get the idea.

I used to game with a 68 year old retiree, so I definitly know that gaming isn't just for the "Young'uns" anymore.

Nice to meet you, and since World of Warcraft is such a big place, I won't say "Hope to meet you in the game" or anything stupid like that.

Not gonna say I'm old just yet but I know I get ragged on a bit by the people around me cause I still play "those stupid games" but hey whatever makes ya happy right? I enjoy playing and I enjoy playing with the other people I play with, and welcome to the group

Gaming has gotten a bad rap by people that do not understand them, believe me I have taken my share of crap from friends and family as well, you have to learn to balance work with play,on-line with off-line activities, and fantasy with reality and when you can achieve that kind of "Gaming Nirvana" then the same people that give you those strained looks start to show something different...curosity - and thats when you have them hooked and can get a more normal response,

I love that and I see that you too are a trailblazer, I expect to see the next generation of soccer moms being alot more receptive to thier kids and gaming and getting more involved in online PC activities.

Craziness, I so wish my parents would game with me...albeit I don't live at home and I guess we're not the Brady bunch type family. But I still think it would be awesome, when I left home that was the easiest way for me to keep up with my younger brother, I couldn't be there with him but I was in game with him and talkin to him over vent. Wish my fiance played games with me as well, something other then monopoly or sorry >< but she's a techaphobic or something. Her and electronics just don't go well together.
