How to turn off recruitment spam

I'm getting reports of regular members getting email messages when someone applies via guildcafe. I can't find out how to turn that off for non-officer level members, and would appreciate some help.

Users with the "Add Member" permission are the ones who are notified. (Add Member is used to give a user access to the site, or to approve an application for membership).

I took a look at your settings and noticed that you had given Add Member to the default rank ("Member"), which is the source of your problem. I took the liberty of removing the Add Member permission from that rank since I'm assuming you gave it to them by mistake.
