Are You A Pirate At Heart?

We have Pirates of the Burning Sea beta keys to give away, and two ways to win. Before you sail away in pursuit of treasure, be sure to read all of the rules. Guild Cafe Privateers are LAWFUL evil.

Declare Yourself a Pirate
...By adding "Pirates of the Burning Sea" to your gaming history. A few random keys will go to people who have done this. But to qualify for most of the keys, we have some special activities:

Taking Hostages:

Go to another gaming message board, and bring back three hostages... in other words, three new members of GuildCafe. To count, your prisoner must list you as the friend who referred him or her, must fill out a profile page, and post in a forum thread called "(your name)'s Hostages" in the Hodge Podge forum. Your prisoner is encouraged to discuss what she or he will do to you once they gain their freedom.

Also, to be eligible, you must provide a link to the "boarding party" thread you started on the other message board in your hostage thread. You MUST abide by the rules of the forum you went to - no pissing off the host moderators. If they delete your thread, sorry, but it doesn't count.

Bonus points for funny hostage threads and boarding threads.

Winners will be selected by the GuildCafe Staff from the pool of eligible pirates!

Priceless Treasures:

Take a screenshot of you talking like a pirate in public/common chat channels in any multiplayer game. Bonus points for being funny, for keeping it up longer than a single comment, and for funny reactions from the other players. Photoshop jobs, and breaking the rules of the host game (talking like a pirate on a fantasy roleplay server, for example) will be disqualified. Use the GuildCafe photo upload tool for this contest, and post a link in the Treasure thread Sanya will start in Hodge Podge. Winners will be chosen by GuildCafe Staff.

The first prizes will be given away starting September 19 (Talk Like a Pirate Day!) with the remainder trickling out through the end of the month.

Where would one find those? I hope there's no "You have to be 18 years of age, non smoker, anti-abortion and homeschooling your children to join." rule like there usually is.

Edit: I have no clue how the actual system works, but may I suggest that you create a new separate and temporary forum for the Hostage threads? I'm quite sure this content will become popular pretty quickly wich will ruin all the joy and happiness in the Hodge Podge forum.

In WoW, I was once turned into a pirate and immediately releashed some sea dog songs and kept yarnin' until the debuff expired. Does that count? :P
