I rarely listen to music as I use my ears alot when playing FPS games (footsteps, weapon discharge sounds, beeping grenades etc.). When I play Deathmatch type games, where you don't really need listen to anything but a pumping soundtrack, I usually enjoy a good serving of System of a Down's "Pogo" or other fast paced metal tunes.

I usually have a wide range of taste in music and leave the ipod on shuffle 90% of the time. Along with classical, I enjoy soundtrack music as that usually is very dramatic. For a more obscure title, I'll go with any of the music from KA- Cirque du Soleil. The rest of the time, anything by Linkin Park,Tool, Rob Zombie, Marilyn Manson, Metallica and some techno can give a nice 'umph' to the combat zone.
