We succumbed to the Blue Ray
We saw the Disney promo of Blue Ray on the DvD for a movie we watched last night and were inspired to order one from Amazon. It will be here tomorrow along the the BlueRay release of "Casino Royale", the latest Bond flick. Stay tuned to this thread to see if we fall head over heals for Blue Ray.

Personally if they are going to reference someone's perfect ass, they should show it...guess I'll have to wait for the ray to arrive to see this one tho.

Blue Ray, HDDVD. Whatever. It'll come eventually, and it'll look good. Blue Ray seems to be winning the format war, partly thx to the PS3.

sony also made some huge deals with paramount and a few other production groups to only make dvd and blue ray.

I'm just hoping for either Blu-Ray or HD-DVD to "win" the war ASAP and thus establish the next-gen media so that prices can drop and distribution increase.

But as I'm inclined to buy a PS3 I'm in secret hoping for Blu-Ray a tad more though...

I don't really care except, I dislike Sony for being such a shitty company that I hope HD DVD wins. If Blueray wins, I'll eventually get one though.

Just watched Casino Royale on a Blu-Ray on a 1080i front projector. It was gorgeous, and quite a step up from DVDs with line-doubling to 720p.
