Can't change avatar to certain pictures?

I was trying to change my avatar before to an animated .gif image that is 125x125 but the page would simply reload without any changes.

I tried other pictures and some worked and others didn't, not sure whats causing the issue though because the avatar page isn't throwing up any errors or anything.

maybe filesize and dimensions of the pictures is the issue.

would explain why some work and some dont

Also if it is a file size / dimension issue, the avatar change area didn't throw up any errors nor did I actually see it saying "No files over X size" so *shrug*

@Mishy, we happened to have some open cycles and one of our guys got this taken care of. The size limit is now 600kb. We'll add a note about that to the page as well.
