99 Words
Okay, this is a forum game, but since it involves writing I decided to put it here. What I want you to do is write a story set in your favorite game. Pretty much anything goes, as long as it doesn't violate the general forum rules.
One caveat: You can only use 99 words in total to tell your story. And I don't mean you can use only 99 different words, I mean 99 words total. I'm going to work on one and post it as soon as I am finished. Please join me! Let's see that creativity, folks.

Here's my first one:
---------------------------------- His head jerked up at the sudden noise, disrupting his work. Seeing nothing but a half-starved rat scurrying across the floor, he turned back to the task that occupied him. He had to hurry. So much depended on what he was doing here, so many people needed him to succeed. He urged his hands to greater speed. “Come on, you blasted...” With a nearly inaudible snap, his lockpick found it’s target. The rusted padlock fell aside, and he slid through the newly opened gate. Ahead of him was his prize. “I will keep my promise to you, Adha.”

Cool Idea mykal.
 Here's mine:------------------------------------------------------------------------------ The outside world was a strange place. As she looked about at the unfamiliar landscapes of brown and gray... there wasn't much to see. It was completely different from the Vault, her home for so long. Ahead, there was a small town, just about completely decimated save for a few buildings. Not a person was in sight, but the memory of the Overseer's terminal popped into her mind. There was a settlement somewhere near; a place called Megaton. “May as well... not like I have anywhere else to go anymore.”, she grumbled, glancing at the door behind her.
