There's quite a few bands out there which could make good Guitar Hero tracks. I think I'd rather see a series of top hits disks, year by year.

Although I keep trying to get the wife to agree to buy Dance Dance Revolution. I think it would be fun. :P

I play Rock Band AND Guitar Hero games in kinda equal amounts, I like them all really...although I do have Rock Revolution and I really don't rate it that much.
Out of Rock Band and Guitar Hero games for the PS3, I probably play Rock Band 2 and Guitar Hero: Metallica the most at the moment.

I was surprised to see that Rock Band is the most played in the poll, because I usually run into more GH players.
I started my plastic guitar shredding in Guitar Hero II, then moved on to GH3 and Rock Band. Now I only play Rock Band 2 and get new DLC to fill my growing library of 300+ songs.

I am mainly a Guitar hero player but I personally prefer rockband. It is just more people I am friends with own GH so it usually revolves around that when it comes to music genre.
Noteable mention of AudioSurf, Great game

Definitely Rock Band. The songs list is just amazing!

Plenty of cool songs from bands you'll probably be hearing for the first time, like Handsome Devil, The Main Drag, Freezepop, Bang Camaro, Vagiant, Death of the Cool, Honest Bob, The Konks, Tribe, and the Acro-Brats There's just so much content in this game that I can't even fit it in a post! Most unorganized post ever =P Also the drum overdrive activation is more fun to do and the vocals are actually fun to play, unlike the mess that they put into the GH band games. Recently they added Clint Eastwood by the Gorillaz to Rock Band. In the original music video, the drummer is possessed by a blue ghost. During that part of the song in the game, a blueish filter is put over the screen and the drummer does the singing in that part of the song. It's that sort of attention to detail that just makes me happy I play this game.
