So i'm working on picking out all the parts for a computer-build I'm just saving up money for. At the moment I'm having to dumb it down quite a bit to save money. But this is my first computer build. So I'm here asking advice on what can work almost as well, but at a cheaper cost. If that makes sense i hope
I'm still going to base the build on a quad core processor. At the moment it's going to be AMD because those seem to be so much cheaper everywhere I've looked than good quality Intel processors. But other then that, what could i do to make this a fairly cheap build. Maybe start with just 2 gb ram? Considering the computer I'm on right now is still only a 512 mb, I'm sure 2 gigs would be good enough for me. At least for a while. I guess I should state I'm looking for a gaming computer, just in case anyone here on GAMERdna wasn't sure :P. I'd like to eventually get into WoW. I have lots of friends that play but I myself never got hooked. I'd also like it to be able to play more graphic intensive games but that can be with future upgrades. To start with I just need something that will WORK FASTER. I can barely play diablo II on this one half the time anymore I think that about covers it. Any questions let me know. |

I have just one tip for building a computer: It's all about the cooling. Having the best tech doesn't mean jack if it overheats and/or melts.
