Internet Explorer 8 Beta
Well I downloaded the IE 8 Beta yesterday. Most of the features looked really good since they where things that are on other browsers, and was about time IE got them.

However, after I downloaded it and restarted my computer I booted it up. Internet Explorer started to start up, but after the window came up it stated to not respond. Has anyone else had this issue using it?

I am running Windows Vista 32-bit on a Dell Inspiron notebook.

Any help would be appreciated.

Well, after some time I figured out how to go back to IE 7. Which was for the best even if though the freezing did become minimal. IE 8 was using 242,000k while I can run IE 7 on the same page with 32,000k being used.

I am not a website developer, and have no need to run the beta, even though I did like the new features. If anyone else wants to know how to roll their browser back after "upgrading" to IE 8, shoot me a message I'll be happy to tell you how.

I haven't used it myself but it is in Beta so problems should be expected. Maybe you might want to send your experience back to Microsoft? It always helps to tell them the issues with their software.

Try the RC1. That's what I'm using and it works almost flawlessly. It's a massive improvement in speed from IE7 and has some nice ideas in it (the accelerators mostly).

I built mine for under a 1000 bucks. Have 2 g ram. P4 3.0 hyperthreading Intel proccessor. 120 gb seagate hard drive. Sound Blaster. Masonic MB with hyperthreading proccessor support. Great looking open side game case. Added lighted fans, floresant lights, floresant wires. Spent about 600 bucks total. Need better graphics card. Will buy soon.

wrong topic laiahna :-)

but anyways.
the newer versions are expected to take more memory while in beta because they are trying to test out the programs and applications, later on they might try and reduce the usage of them while not being used though.
