My mom just went thru this with her old computer. She had a friend wipe the hard drive and then she donated it to the local veterans assoc. There are also bins/trucks in parking lots that can collect these types of donations.
I know for old games/consoles you can donate to Child's Play http://www.childsplaycharity.org/ There really should be a website to organize places to donate for each state. |

it seems like the idea i have needs some bugs worked out. I will polish the idea up a little and hit you guys with it again....but it seems that there is NO good solution currently to this issue.
by the way i totally agree with getting people who can't afford computer access to them locally, that was an excellent point, it would be easier (cost wise), and more effective! |

Didn't mean to sound like an uncaring ass in my little diatribe, but computers and internet service are pretty high on Maslow's Heirarchy of Needs i believe...when basic survival is sometimes hard to achieve in those places. I'm too realistic in real life, that's why i play games...lol
