The Death of FPS's

Hey the FPS use to take skill . Now with people with attention spans of a Nat . Games are being made to reward the skilless with a new GUN or Achievement every 5 minutes ! MY gamer score embarrasses my Beta tester Budd's . But since i am on all the leader boards , i dont care how hard the cheater have boosted up their gamer score . People now brag openly about boosting in their Bio's , so sorry I dont care about your Gamer Score , your Achievement , or your PICS AND RIBBONS ! What I do care about is getting a fair shot at the leader boards ! If you play for fun , STAY OUT OF RANKED GAMES ! I LIKE my Permanent STATS ! They dont keep the score and stats in sports games because it's fun ! Sorry that is not true , they have T~BALL FOR That !!!!!

I answered all of the above, because they can ruin a game...but they can also make a game great...ever watch a cheater get banned from your server and feel a smile come across your face, or a spawn killer one round become the spawnie the next... I hate auto aim the most but it helped me start playing FPS games when I was younger... so really everything has a purpose just once you get done with the them we can sometimes forget about the purpose

I went with Spawn Campers since this is the option listed there that I have a problem with the most. I haven't run into too much of the other stuff.

The biggest problem I actually tend to encounter that ruins games for me is clans. I primarily play on consoles. When I was playing Battlefield 2 on xbox it got to the point where about 1 out of 5 matches was me and 11 other random people against a clan. I also play halo mostly on big team social (until they dropped it for big team DLC) and it was at the point on that where once every few games it was 8 random people against a clan that was "warming up", IE beating the people in social so the wouldn't put their ranked stats in danger until they were in their groove.

I went with "perks kill nubbs"... I think a truskill ranking system made FPS's a little better for me so that im able to play people as sucky as me... I think COD4 did an excellent job with their perk system... As you level up, you are awarded guns or skills for your charachter... But you are also matched to play people close or around your rank... Problem is, as a game ages, there will be less "noobs" to play... Also, i think the problem is, the more kills you get, the higher your rank goes; But it doesnt take into account your Death:Kill ratio... You could be getting brutalized, but your one kill counts towards the next rank... You eventually get matched up with kick ass players and you still royally suck... (my life story lol)

Gaming industry as a whole is killing FPS just like every other genre. Producers and publishers don't know how a good game feels, they only know what the feature list says on the box.

what i hate most in FPS are ppl that use auto aim, wall hack, god mode and what ever else hakc/cheat thay use. if ya got real skill use it dont rely on some program.

radar is ok if it hides players but has area on it, sometimes i get lost cuz im so into the game i stop thinking, and just play

I disagree personally I think since the FPS genre has been doing so well and moving from great games like UT or COD or Doom or Halo or GOW or Steam (HL2/TF2/L4D), I mean if you start to think about finding a good FPS game you can think of at least 5 but try and think of a good MMO or RTS and your lucky to get 3, IMO. The last 2 years has shown a large increase in sucessful shooter feeling games across most genres, Far Cry 2, Fallout 3, Bioshock, Tabula Rasa, The Agency, to name a few.
