In Second Life, a massively multiplayer online game, players join a virtual society in which residents are free to do as they desire. There are no set goals in Second Life, and as such residents are able to pursue their own interests, be they exploring the virtual world around them, actively seeking out fame and fortune, creating architecture, items, clothing, weaponry and even animals, or simply interacting with others. Avatars are infinitely customizable, allowing players to change appearance, gender, clothes and body style at will. Though residents may act out their every whim, a real-time reputation system allows denizens to rate one another, with financial incentives and improved social status provided to those who garner positive comments.

Anyways, despite the bugs it can be a fun game just to hang out in. I met my fiance and one of my best friends in this game. So, yeah I can honestly say it's cool to meet people in. Of course online relationships are hard, but it does work out in the end if you really try. :)

Confusing and then it became a place for swingers, porn and in-game prostitution. Not my cuppa.

Was fun initially, but primarily turned into an adult-playground. I'm not very social to begin with, and definitely not when it comes to adult-only-related concepts.

Tried this very briefly. Couldn't hold my interest. The bad graphics turned me off and I am not too hot on just being in a social area. I want to play a game.
Game developers haven't catered very well to Star Wars fans who want to live in George Lucas' world. While there's innumerable action and strategy titles based on the franchise, and the single-player RPG Knights of the Old Republic series is beloved
Eh it has its good points. Making RL money is dead now that you can't gamble.
I'm not entirely sure this qualifies as a game, but there is a lot to learn about virtual worlds and social interactions here.
