While fun and innovative, Warhammer: Mark of Chaos was far from the perfect RTS. An array of irritating bugs and some limp storytelling ensured it never quite delivered on its ample potential. For every tense, tactical battlefield exchange and branching Hero upgrade tree there was an irritating glitch that undermined the game's quest for excellence.

News Manager Keith Cross recently had the opportunity to speak with Adam Gershowitz, Associate Art Director on Warhammer Online about Shadow Warriors, elite warriors of the High Elves who walk the line between dark and light in their quest for vengeance against the enemies of Elfkind. Adam was also kind enough to send over specific information about the Shadow Warrior's specific abilities, strategic maneuvers, stances, and examples of what a few rounds of combat might look like.

Yet most of the new ones feel like clones; merely the next incremental step. EA Mythic, makers of Warhammer online, has released a new video. In this video Paul Barnett, the Creative Director for the game, talks about the newest class for the Dark Elves. The Disciple of Khaine, is not your normal healer/buffer. He not only gets life taps, but can send the life he taps into allies as well as himself. Paul promises he will be cool, and not your average heal bot.

An expansion to Warhammer: Mark of Chaos, scheduled for release in 2008 on both the PC and the Xbox 360, Warhammer: Battle March builds upon the WH:MoC's tactical foundation to offer new units for each army as well as an original campaign and new online modes.
