Is The Future of Star Trek Online Cryptic?

Recently, it was reported that P2 had lost the Star Trek Online license and that it would be taken up by another development studio in the San Francisco area. On the 15th, a site called Woot Studios announced that the San Francisco area studio in question is none other than Cryptic Studios. Cryptic has so far confirmed only that they are interviewing a number of former P2 employees for positions in projects currently under development.

Well, the general feeling from CoX folks is that the games have only benefited from Cryptic handing it (and the decent developers) over to NCSoft. Not much faith there in the capabilities of today's Cryptic.
