I agree with what many have said. everyone needs to help out by typing /report when having a bot selected in town. I do that when I see them.
I've noticed that they are thinning out, but that might just mean the bots are moving to new towns/out posts and haven't been discovered yet.
And sheesh the random PM's of spam to visit sites for ectos/gold is really annoying. As well as the all chat spamming.

One of the many ways to help out would be reporting users with /report username. Mind you, this might not always help, but it does bring users to anet's attention.

I know people who have been suspended. Yea they don't catch all of them, but they try and they are putting some things into place to do more.

"We identify players who purchase gold from real-money trading companies, and we suspend their accounts and remove the purchased gold. We also encourage these players to seek restitution from their credit card company. Real-money trading companies are not legally authorized to sell Guild Wars gold. They don't own the gold — ArenaNet does. Credit card companies know this, so buyers of gold can generally call their credit card companies and get the charges removed."

Lulz. I've bought probably 10 million worth of Guild Wars gold and never gotten suspended.
